Lamamra talks with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, Ramtane Lamamra, spoke, yesterday, Tuesday, in Algiers, in private with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia, Tanja Fajon, who is on a working visit to Algeria, before co-chairing with her an expanded working session for the members of the two delegations, according to a Ministry statement.

On this occasion, the two sides praised the new dynamism in relations between Algeria and Slovenia and discussed ways to strengthen and expand them to other fields, especially energy, mines, renewable energies and digitization, the source adds.

The ministers of the two countries also discussed current issues at the regional and international levels, as well as various aspects of the Euro-Mediterranean partnership, in addition to the relations between Algeria and the European Union.

After this meeting, an agreement was signed between the Sonatrach group and the Slovenian energy group “Geoplin”, which includes the renewal of the contract to supply Slovenia with natural gas, starting from January 2023, in the presence of the Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, and his Slovenian counterpart, Bojan Kumer, the statement concludes.
