President of the Independent National Authority for Elections (ANIE), Mohamed Charfi, confirmed, in a presser held yesterday, that the number of new voters registered to date stands at 179,792 new voters, while the number of erased voters is 101,744 people.
According to the same official, the number of electorate after the periodic revision of the electoral lists stands at 24,392,438 voters, while the number of expected candidates at the level of 58 provinces, amounts to 10,702 candidates.
Charfi also reported that one million and 500,000 forms were provided. 126,000 forms were distributed, at the central level of ANIE, for the benefit of five political parties which had submitted a request to this effect.
