
Army General Saïd Chanegriha, Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army (ANP), chaired, on Tuesday, on behalf of the President of the Republic, Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the installation ceremony of General-Major Djamel Kehal in his new role as Director General of Internal Security to replace General-Major Abdelghani Rachedi, indicates the Ministry of National Defense in a press release.
At the start, and at the headquarters of the General Directorate of Homeland Security, the Army General supervised the installation ceremony of General-Major Djamel Kehal as Director General of Homeland Security in succession to General-Major Abdelghani Rachedi.
“In the name of the President of the Republic, Supreme Head of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defence, and in accordance with the presidential decree of July 13, 2022, I officially install Major General Djamel Kehal as Director General of Internal Security in succession to General-Major Abdelghani Rachedi”, affirmed the Chief of Staff of the ANP.
To this end, “I order you to exercise under his authority and to carry out his orders and instructions in the interest of the service, in accordance with the military regulations and the laws of the Republic in force, and out of fidelity to the sacrifices of our valiant Chouhada and the values of our glorious Liberation Revolution”, he underlined.
“The installation ceremony was an opportunity for Mr. General of the Army to meet with the executives of this sensitive Directorate, to whom he gave instructions and practical orientations, in particular, in terms of rigor in the accomplishment of the heavy missions incumbent on them, and which require more persevering and loyal efforts, in order to carry them out perfectly”, adds the press release.
