Lieutenant General Saïd Chengriha held talks in Doha with a number of Qatari officials

The Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, Lieutenant-General Saïd Chengriha, held talks today, Wednesday, on the third day of his official visit to the State of Qatar, with a number of Qatari officials, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of National Defense.

The same source indicated that “on the sidelines of his participation in DIMDEX 2022, the Lieutenant-General had a special meeting at the Emiri palace with His Highness Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, the personal representative of His Highness the Emir of the State of Qatar, which reflected the level of distinguished relations between Algeria and Qatar.”

The Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army was later received by the “Minister of Foreign Affairs and Deputy Prime Minister of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman bin Jassim Al Thani.”

The statement added that “in appreciation of Algeria’s participation in the seventh edition of the Doha International Maritime Defense Exhibition, Mr. Chengriha had a special meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs, Dr. Khaled bin Mohammed Al-Attiyah, who praised Algeria’s position and defense policy”.

Lieutenant-General Chengriha had “another meeting with the Adviser to His Highness the Emir of the State of Qatar for Defense Affairs, Lieutenant-General Hamad bin Ali Al-Attiyah, where the two parties discussed the importance of the fixed military doctrine and training and their role in the structure of an efficient and modern military institution.”
