Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, Lieutenant-General Said Chengriha, supervised today, Tuesday, the final match ceremony of the Algerian Military Football Cup, in its forty-ninth edition, at the gathering and preparation center for military sports teams in Ben Aknoun in the 1st Military Region, according to a statement by the Ministry of National Defense.
The statement indicated that “The Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, Lieutenant-General Said Chengriha, supervised today, Tuesday, October 26, 2021, the final match ceremony of the Algerian Military Football Cup, in its forty-ninth edition, at the gathering and preparation center for military sports teams in Ben Aknoun / First Military Region, opposing the Land Forces Command to the National Gendarmerie Command.
After the reception ceremony, the Lieutenant-General watched the game, in the presence of the Minister of Youth and Sports, the Minister of Communication, as well as senior officials from the People’s National Army and a number of guests.
It is worth noting that the first half of this final match knew the control of the national gendarmerie command team from the first minutes which culminated in scoring the first goal in the 18th minute by First Sergeant Boulerbak Abdelkarim after a strong shot, then First Corporal Hamdani Abdel Al-Rahim scored the second goal in the 33rd minute. Before the end of the first half, First Sergeant Boulerbak Abdelkarim added the third goal for his team in the 43rd minute after a quick counterattack. The referee announced the end of the first half with a score of 03 goals to zero in favor of the national gendarmerie command team.
After the match ended, the Lieutenant General handed the medals to both teams and the Algerian Military Cup to the National Gendarmerie Command Team.
It is worth noting that, on the sidelines of the final match, the Lieutenant General honored Mr. Mohamed Maouch, founding member of the National Liberation Front football team, as well as Mr. Abderrahman Mahdaoui, coach of the military national football team.
Finally, Lieutenant General Said Chengriha, signed the golden record of the gathering and preparation center for military sports teams in Ben Aknoun.
