Argentinian player of Paris Saint-Germain, Lionel Messi, won the Ballon d’Or for 2021, on Monday evening, during the award ceremony held at the Châtelet Theater in Paris.
Messi won the trophy for the seventh time. Paris Saint-Germain striker added the 2021 award to his previous awards in 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2015 and 2019.
For his part, Polish Robert Lewandowski won the award for best scorer.
Meanwhile, Chelsea FC won the award of the Team of the Year. It is worth noting that Chelsea is the holder of the Champions League title.
