A minute’s silence was observed Sunday at the headquarters of the Ministry of Communication, in Algiers, in the presence of the sector’s Minister Ammar Belhimer, in the memory of the martyrs of the massacres of 17 October 1961 in Paris.
The commemorative ceremony took place in the presence of the President of the Audiovisual Regulatory Authority (ARAV), Mohamed Louber, Director General of Algerie Presse Service (APS), Samir Gaïd, as well as journalists, executives and employees of these institutions.
President Tebboune decided, yesterday, to establish a minute of silence, to be observed annually, across the country, in honor of the souls of the martyrs of the massacres of October 17, 1961, in the French capital, Paris.
