The message went on saying: “Thanks to Allah, today, after a year of patience and continuous effort, and following the decline of the spread of Coronavirus pandemic (Covid-19), better conditions allow our people today to celebrate this occasion as a glorification of knowledge, as well as an appreciation of thought and culture, and an appreciation of Algerian scientists, researchers, thinkers, intellectuals and artists in all fields of creativity.

In his message, the President also called upon Algerian people to express their opinion freely in choosing their representatives in coming legislative elections.

“The democratic process is the choice of free and sovereign Algeria and, in addition to the consolidation of the foundations of peace and security, it is among the objectives related to the supreme interests of the country that we aspire to achieve through the combined efforts of the State institutions, the political class and civil society actors,” President of the Republic added in his message.

The president of the Republic said he is “confident that the Algerian people will move forward to take this major step in the building of a new Algeria.”, adding that Algerian people’s determination cannot be challenged by the manoeuvres of those who seek to sow destabilization and division.

President of the Republic concluded his message by saying: « On the occasion of  Knowledge Day, I do urge my young daughters and sons, pupils and students in schools, universities, institutes and training centres to make their way towards success through diligence, knowledge and moral virtue.
