Minister of Commerce: More than $6 billion in non-hydrocarbon exports within 11 months

The Minister of Trade and Export Promotion, Kamel Rezig, said today, Monday in Algiers, that non-hydrocarbon exports amounted to more than $6 billion during the first 11 months of this year.

Mr. Rezig said, in a statement to the press on the sidelines of a tour he led to the central pavilion of the Algerian Production Exhibition, accompanied by representatives of several embassies in Algeria, that “the country’s non-hydrocarbon exports exceeded $6 billion during the first 11 months of the year as a result of developing local products and improving their quality,” considering that this number was achieved thanks to “the strategy of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, which bore fruit after 3 years” of his election as president.

The visit provided an opportunity for the diplomats present to get acquainted with the latest national products offered by the various pavilions, such as the pavilion of military, mechanical, household electrical, chemical and petrochemical industries, food industries, and others.

The diplomats appreciated the quality of the local products offered and their ability to enter foreign markets.
