Minister of Communication: Late Karim Boussalem left a “distinguished” imprint in the field of national audiovisual media

Minister of Communication, Ammar Belhimer, confirmed today, Sunday, that Karim Boussalem, journalist at the National Public Television, who passed away due to the Coronavirus, left a “distinguished imprint” in the field of national audiovisual media, especially the national radio and Algerian television.

A message of condolences presented by Mr. Belhimer to the family of the deceased stated the following: “With hearts satisfied with Allah’s decree and destiny, the Minister of Communication, Professor Ammar Belhimer, received with great sadness and deep emotion the news of the death of Karim Boussalem, the competent journalist and assistant to director general of the Algerian Television, as a result of Covid-19 pandemic,” stressing that the deceased “Left a distinguished imprint in the field of national audiovisual media, especially the national radio and Algerian television, by presenting the main news bulletin and specialized programs about national and international affairs in various fields, such as “In the Spotlight” and “The Eighth Day”.

The minister added, “With the loss of late Karim Boussalem, we have lost one of the young Algerians who are competent and always aspiring for the best, in a way that contributes to serving the country and promoting the profession of journalism.”

Karim Bousalem, a journalist at the Public Television Corporation, died today, Sunday, at the age of 49, as a result of being infected with the Coronavirus at Tizi-Ouzou Hospital.
