Minister of Communication and Government Spokesperson Ammar Belhimer will participate in the work of the 51st session of the Council of Arab Information Ministers and the 13th session of the Executive Office, according to what the ministry stated today, Monday, in a press release.
On the sidelines of these two sessions, which were preceded by the 95th session of the Standing Committee for Arab Media, Mr. Belhimer and the accompanying delegation visited Al-Ahram Complex for Press and Media, where they were received by the Foundation’s Chairman of the Board of Directors, Abdel Mohsen Salama, and the editor-in-chief of Al-Ahram newspaper, Alaa Thabet, in the presence of senior figures Institution officials.
This meeting dealt with, as stated in the press release, “ways and prospects for strengthening bilateral relations between media institutions in the two countries, and in particular between Al-Ahram Group and Echaab Group.”
In this regard, “it was agreed to establish cooperation and twinning between these two institutions,” reflecting “the strong will of both sides to support and activate the distinguished bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, Algeria and Egypt.”
On the occasion, the minister also visited the main departments of the foundation, where he was “provided with adequate explanations about its tasks and activities, which highlight the legacy of Al-Ahram Foundation and the high expertise it abounds in,” according to the same source.
