Minister of Energy and Mines receives President of the Turkish Kalyon Energy Group

The Minister of Energy and Mines, Mr. Mohamed Arkab, received today, Wednesday,  Mr. Mortada Atta, President of the Turkish Kalyon Energy Group, a subsidiary of “Kalyon” Holding, in the presence of the Turkish ambassador to Algeria.

A statement by the Ministry of Energy and Mines indicated that “The parties discussed the state of cooperation relations between Algeria and Turkey in the field of energy and mines and examined commercial and investment opportunities between companies operating in the energy and mining sector and Turkish companies.

To this end, Mortada Atta expressed Kalyon Energy’s strong interest in the Algerian market and its desire to invest in the fields of renewable energies and the manufacture of photovoltaic solar panels in Algeria, as well as the exploitation of silicon, which is used in the manufacture of photovoltaic cells.

 For his part, “the minister expressed Algeria’s readiness to expand cooperation with Turkey to include areas of common interest,” the same statement added.
