The Minister of Health, Abderrahmane Benbouzid, announced, Thursday, in Algiers, the launch of a university hospital center project in the province of Ouargla, after the selection of the achievement institution and the approval of the specifications by the sectorial committee for public procurement.
In response to an oral question by a representative in the People’s National Assembly, Abderrahmane Salhi, regarding the project to build a university hospital center in Ouargla, which the province benefited from in 2013 and whose launch was delayed due to being frozen in 2015 within the framework of rationalizing public expenditures, the minister confirmed that it will be launched after the selection of the institution and after approval of the book specifications by the Sectorial Committee of Public Procurement at the Ministry of Housing.
Given the importance of embodying this project, for which a plot of 23 hectares was allocated at the municipality of Ouargla, and after lifting the freeze on it in 2019, the minister said that the Directorate of Public Equipment has begun to take the necessary measures to launch it, as the implementation phase has been launched.
