The Minister of Health, Professor Abderrahmane Benbouzid, emphasized “the need to continue preparing the neighborhood health facilities,” according to a statement issued by the Health Ministry on Thursday.
The Minister of Health stressed during his meeting yesterday, Wednesday, via videoconference, with provincial directors and managers of healthcare structures, the need to continue the completion and rehabilitation of the neighborhood health facilities and to give emergency departments and services and multi-service clinics priority within the preparation programs.
The first official in charge of the sector, underlined, on the occasion, that the first goal of the new health policy aimed at reforming and developing the system is to “facilitate and enable citizens to benefit from health services in the best conditions and in the closest place to their residence.”
Meanwhile, the minister called on provincial directors to “adopt a new view in the process of completing healthcare structures by giving utmost importance to the completion of reference hospitals while ensuring the integration of hospital services among them during the process of sponsorship.”
In this context, the Minister of Health has given a new set of directives to put these facilities into service, especially since citizens are in urgent and legitimate need to benefit from them.
