
Minister of Health, Abdelhak Saihi, received the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark in Algeria, Vanessa Vega Saenz, with whom he discussed ways and means of strengthening cooperation in the field of Health, indicates Monday a press release from the ministry.
Held on Sunday, the meeting allowed the two sides to review bilateral relations and discuss ways to promote them to higher levels, the same source added.
The talks focused on “strengthening cooperative relations in health and exploring opportunities for partnerships that can be established in areas of common interest,” the ministry statement said.
On this occasion, the Danish ambassador expressed her country’s desire “to intensify bilateral cooperation in the field of pharmaceutical production and awareness-raising”, stressing “the interest accorded by Danish companies, public and private, to the investment in Algeria”, particularly in pharmaceutical production and hearing aids.
The Minister of Health highlighted, for his part, “the importance of developing bilateral action in the best common interests of the two countries”, welcoming “the convergence of views” between the two parties.
Saying that he is in favor of any investment in Algeria, the minister mentioned the new law on investment aimed at draining capital and taking advantage of the different experiences and specialties.
The two parties have agreed, in this sense, to “organize a workshop at the level of the establishments from next December in order to examine the questions of common interest”, concludes the press release.
