Minister of Justice supervises the installation of the members of the National Commission for International Humanitarian Law

The Minister of Justice, Keeper of the Seals, Abderrachid Tabi supervised, Thursday, in his capacity as President of the National Commission for International Humanitarian Law (CNDIH), the installation ceremony of the new members of the Commission, indicates a press release from the ministry.

The CNDIH is made up of 24 members representing different ministerial departments and national institutions.

The Commission is responsible for “promoting human rights in Algeria in the aspect linked to international humanitarian law in collaboration with international and regional organizations and the national commissions of other countries, in particular through the training of executive workers in the various sectors affected by the application of this legislation”.

It “issues its opinion on the ratification of the related international conventions and treaties and proposes appropriate measures for the adaptation of the national law with its provisions”, adds the same source.
