Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups and Micro-enterprises participates in the eighth edition of the Mediterranean Dialogue held in Rome

Minister of Knowledge Economy, Startups and Micro-enterprises, Mr. Yacine El Mahdi Oualid, participated yesterday in the eighth edition of the Mediterranean Dialogue held in Rome, Italy, where he made an intervention in the workshop entitled Investment in the Middle East and North Africa region.

During his speech in the workshop, which focused mainly on the peculiarities of the Middle East and North Africa region in the field of investment and business climate, the Minister stressed that the reality related to the stability in the region has a direct impact on the size and nature of investments, and he also underlined that the current international situation has a direct impact on the economic reality of the region in all fields.

In the same context, Mr. Yacine El Mahdi Oualid recalled the importance of the region in the global economy, especially in one of the areas that has a strategic and sovereign nature for the countries of the world, especially the countries of Europe, which is the field of energy, especially in light of the great capabilities that the region has in this field.

Meanwhile, the Minister evoked in his intervention the status of investment in our country and the great boom in this field through the issuance of a new investment law that gives many advantages, protection and legal and legislative stability to investors, adding that Algeria has launched a broad economic program aimed at diversifying national economic revenues outside of hydrocarbons, through several sectoral policies and approaches based on keeping pace with developments in the global economy.
