Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments, Youcef Belmahdi, received today, Monday in Algiers, the General Caliph of the Tijaniya Tariqa (Order) in the world, Sheikh Ali Belarabi, who was accompanied by a delegation from the Tijaniya Order in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, according to a statement by the ministry.
According to the same source, “Mr. Belmahdi received a delegation headed by the general Caliph of the Tijaniya Order in the world, Sheikh Ali Belarabi, accompanied by an important delegation from the Tijaniya Order in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, representing the depth of Africa with which we have strong ties.”
The statement added that the meeting falls “within the framework of ways to deepen the bonds of African cooperation supported by Algeria, in particular the file of training imams in institutes affiliated to the sector, and Quranic education in Quranic schools and Zawiyas.»
