Minister of Religious Affairs for Algerian TV: Entities target the stability of our country by promoting false news on social media

Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments, Youcef Belmehdi said yesterday, Saturday, that “some parties wagered on the fall of Algeria during the health crisis by spreading fake news,” adding that there are “some parties which target the stability of Algeria and call on citizens to break the health protocol so that the Corona epidemic spreads again.”

Belmehdi added, when he was hosted along with the Minister of National Solidarity, Family and Women’s Condition, by the Algerian TV on the occasion of the open day on the dangers of wasteful practices, that the mosque’s speech in Algeria “contributed to the fight against the Corona virus and was able to convince people to respect the health protocol, stressing that “many social networks target the stability of Algeria and call on citizens to break the health protocol, so that the Corona epidemic spreads again and we return to square one and total lockdown.

the Minister of Religious Affairs and Endowments said, in this regard that “there are parties that bet on the fall of Algeria in the Corona virus crisis that promoted fake news such as the scarcity of oil and sugar, but in fact everything is available.” Belmahdi, called on the Algerians not to change their consumer behavior during the month of Ramadan and to stay away from wasteful practices.

Meanwhile, the minister affirmed that “this fake news targets the security and stability of the citizen, and Algerians must show awareness and solidarity,” adding that his ministerial department and through imams scattered across all mosques on the national territory “will continue to work to sensitize Algerians to preserve the security and stability of our country.”
