Minister of Trade calls on manufacturers to coordinate and collaborate to move towards exportation

The Minister of Trade and Export Promotion, Kamel Rezig, called on Tuesday from Relizane, industrialists to coordinate and collaborate with each other to move towards exports.

In a statement to the press on the sidelines of a working and inspection visit to the wilaya, the minister stressed that his department is working to encourage manufacturers from the different wilayas of the country to export their various products to external markets.

While inspecting a private cable manufacturing unit at the Sidi Khettab industrial park, which employs nearly 300 people and produces 500 tons of different types of cables per year, Mr. Rezig urged those responsible for this unit to coordinate and collaborate with similar production units and to join professional associations to meet the needs of the national market and to go towards export.

In this regard, Mr. Rezig added that the membership of industrialists and producers in professional associations will facilitate dialogue between them and with the Ministry and will make it possible to listen to their various concerns in order to find solutions and take them into account.

On another note, Kamel Rezig stressed that his department has scheduled the opening of between 900 and 1,000 “rahma” solidarity markets across all the wilayas of the country, before the month of Ramadan. He noted the increase in the number of these markets compared to last year, during which 222 markets were opened.

During his supervision of the symbolic launch of the first “rahma” market at the national level in the commune of Bendaoud, the minister estimated that these commercial spaces will allow citizens to acquire food products, vegetables and fruits at affordable prices.

In this sense, he called on industrialists, producers and farmers, as well as wholesalers, to join this solidarity operation which will contribute to the promotion of their products.

In addition, this visit to the wilaya of Relizane was marked by the inspection of a wool and leather processing tannery in the industrial zone of the town of Bellacel, as well as the project to build a quality and fraud prevention.

The work progress rate for this last project reached 87%, with an estimated financial envelope of 120 million dinars. The minister insisted that the project be delivered next July.
