Minister of Trade reviews with representative of “FAO” in Algeria prospects for developing trade sector

The Minister of Trade and Export Promotion, Kamel Rezig, reviewed, today, Thursday, with the representative of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations “FAO” in Algeria, Irina Kouplevatskaya-Buttoud, the prospects for developing the sector and the strategy of the Ministry of Trade with regard to ensuring the supply of citizens with various products of wide consumption, according to a press release of the Ministry.

During the reception given to the representative of “FAO” at the ministry’s headquarters, Mr. Rizig also presented “some positive results achieved in the field, which transformed Algeria from an importing country for some food products into an exporting country with distinction, which is in great demand in foreign markets.”

For her part, Mrs. Buttoud expressed, according to the press release, “the full readiness of her authority to support Algeria and exchange experiences in its various development programs aimed at achieving food security.”
