The Ministry of Culture and Arts announced today, Friday, the opening of an in-depth investigation in coordination with the local authorities to look into the causes of the technical malfunction that caused the inaugural ceremony of the 42nd International Cultural Festival Timgad to be suspended.
A statement of the Ministry indicated that a number of measures will be taken, including:
Opening an in-depth investigation in coordination with the local authorities to look into the causes of the technical failure that caused the complete shutdown of the audio equipment.
Entrusting the National Bureau of Culture and Information with fully taking charge of the technical aspect of the festival, starting from the evening of today, July 29, 2022, until the end of the festival.
Re-scheduling the opening ceremony with free entry throughout the festival period.
Extending the date of the festival until August 1, 2022, instead of July 31, as previously planned.
