The National Committee in charge of preparing the national strategy for hydrogen in Algeria was inaugurated, today, Sunday, at the level of the Ministry of Energy and Mines, according to a communiqué of the ministry.
The communiqué indicated that the Minister of Energy and Mines, Mohamed Arkab, chaired, at the ministry’s headquarters, the inauguration meeting of the national commission in charge of preparing the national strategy for hydrogen, based on the instructions of the Prime Minister, Minister of Finance, Aïmene Benabderrahmane.
The inauguration meeting of the commission was attended by the governor of renewable energies and energy efficiency, Noureddine Yassaa, the same source added.
The commission, composed of representatives from the Governorate of Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency, the Ministry of Energy Transition and Renewable Energies, Sonatrach, and Sonelgaz, and coordinated by the Ministry of Energy and Mines, will develop a roadmap for the implementation of the national strategy for hydrogen development in Algeria.
