Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued today a statement in which it says that Algeria is following with great concern the current events in the Republic of Chad and pays tribute to President Idris Déby Itno who died on Tuesday of injuries.
The statement added that Algeria calls on Chadians to show responsibility and give priority to dialogue to overcome the current stage and preserve peace and stability in the country, adding that Algeria renews its adherence to the basic principles of the African Union rejecting any unconstitutional changes.
