The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research confirmed in a communiqué issued on Sunday, that Algerian students who received scholarships abroad are invited to renew the scholarship for the academic year 2022/2021, through a digital platform dedicated to this end.
The same communiqué also indicated that students concerned with the renewal of the scholarship are invited to “deposit their files at the level of diplomatic or consular representations, which in turn will take care of placing the students’ files on the platform.”
As for the students’ return to Algeria, the same source clarified that “with regard to those who have completed their training, the plane tickets for the final return will be sponsored by their original institutions.”
The ministry added, in another context, that “with regard to students who benefited from a scholarship for the year 2020-2021, in Hungary, Ireland and Spain, these files are not a priority and are not concerned by returning during the summer vacation, so that they can make progress in their academic path, since the start of their academic year was at the end of 2020 and early 2021.”
Finally, the communiqué concluded by emphasizing, “With regard to students of other batches who haven’t traveled to Algeria for two (02) years, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, their tickets will be taken care of, reminding them that they are required, upon returning to the host country, to book their tickets by their own means.”
