Ministry of National Defense organizes a forum on transnational crime in Saharan Sahel space

Military Institute of Documentation, Evaluation and Reception of the Ministry of National Defense organized, today, Wednesday in Algiers, a forum entitled: “Transnational Crime in the Sahel-Saharan Space: For Which Containment Strategy?”, according to a communiqué of the Ministry.

The same source explained that “the National Institute for Documentation, Evaluation and Reception of the Ministry of National Defense organized, today, Wednesday, June 09, 2021, at the National Army Club in Beni Messous, a forum entitled Transnational Crime in the Sahel-Saharan Space: For Which Containment Strategy?”

The opening ceremony of the work of this forum was supervised by Major General Mohamed Kaidi, Head of the Department of Employment and Preparation of the Staff of the National People’s Army, and was activated by a group of professors and experts who shed light on “the phenomenon of transnational crime in the Sahel-Saharan Space, the causes of this scourge, as well as its direct repercussions on the countries of the region, in order to define a strategy to contain it in a geopolitical space characterized by instability, and this is in the presence of specialists from security corps and military attaches accredited in Algeria.
