Units of People’s National Army continued the operations aimed at putting out the fires that broke out in several provinces of the country by mobilizing all human and material means until all fires are under control and totally extinguished,” according to a statement by the Ministry of National Defense.
The ministry’s statement said, “In implementation of the instructions of the Supreme Command of the National People’s Army, and as part of the efforts made by the various units of the People’s National Army to combat the fires that broke out in several provinces of the country, firefighting operations continued yesterday August 12, 2021, in Chrea, Ain Al-Dafa. Tizi Ouzou, in the first military region, and Setif, Jijel, Annaba, Souk Ahras, Skikda, Mila and Bejaia, in the fifth military region, by mobilizing all human and material means such as Mi-26 helicopters belonging to the Air Force, as well as bulldozers and vehicles to contribute to extinguishing the fires, especially in rugged and difficult terrain areas.”
The same source stressed that this operation “is part of the efforts made by People’s National Army to support the state’s efforts to extinguish the fires in all affected provinces of the country, and it will continue until all fires are under control and totally extinguished.”
