
The government has released a budget of more than 25 billion dinars for the acquisition of anti-Covid-19 vaccines, according to a presidential decree published in the Official Gazette (OJ) No. 59.
This concerns Presidential Decree No. 21-297, signed on July 22 by the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, transferring funds to the operating budget of the Ministry of Health.
Under this text, “it is provided, over 2021, a credit of 25,138,125,000 dinars, to be used in the operating budget of the Ministry of Health and Chapter No. 44-07: Extraordinary contribution to Pasteur Institute of Algeria (IPA) for the purchase on behalf of the Government of the vaccine anti-Covid-19.
To recall, the Prime Minister, Aïmene Benabderrahmane recently indicated that Algeria had acquired “more than 9 million vaccines”.
