Prominent teachers in various Moroccan schools are going on a national strike today, Wednesday, in a step preceded by protest vigils, while the Makhzen government insists on ignoring their basic demands and continues to pursue a policy of deaf ears towards them, according to the local press.
Contract professors accuse the government and the Ministry of Education of adopting a policy of deaf ears and fleeing forward towards their demands for inclusion in public employment. A series of dialogues took place between the contracting professors and the ministry, but in vain.
