Morocco: Massive protest march in Rabat, denouncing the rise in prices and the suppression of freedoms

The city of Rabat witnessed this Sunday morning the start of the long-programmed protest march against high prices and repression, with the participation of thousands of citizens, and several political, trade union and human rights organizations, to condemn the exacerbation of the high prices of fuel and basic materials to the extent that made two-thirds of the Moroccan people slip into the maze of poverty.

The Moroccan street is experiencing an unprecedented upheaval these days, due to the continuing wave of high prices and the escalation of the Makhzen regime’s repressive practices against opponents of its authoritarian policies and dissatisfied activists with the deterioration of living conditions, amid calls for more protests in the coming days after the Makhzen authorities closed the door to dialogue and ignored the miserable conditions that the citizen lives in.
