The situation has escalated in the education sector in Morocco, as the tripartite coordination of the unions of civil servants announced a national strike starting today, Wednesday, to demand a “change of framework and rehabilitation” for the doctorate degree in all ministerial sectors, while the National Union of Eminent Professors threatened to stage a protest in the coming days, denouncing the situation that the system has reached, the guardianship authority has been procrastinating in implementing its obligations.
The Syndicate reiterated its rejection of the principle of compulsory additional hours applicable in the preparatory departments under the pretext of the unity of the article, calling on officials to open channels of dialogue in order to reach a solution for this category, and to speed up finding a solution to its urgent problems and demands.
