Mostaganem: Opening of a regional expo for micro-enterprises with the participation of exhibitors from 11 provinces

The activities of a regional expo devoted to micro-enterprises opened today, Saturday in Mostaganem, with the participation of about 100 exhibitors from 11 states.

Tamani Ferchichi, representative of the Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister in charge of Micro-enterprises Nassim Diafat, said that this economic event, which takes place simultaneously in three provinces namely: Mostaganem, Adrar and Ouargla (west, southwest, and southeast of the country respectively) comes after the regional expo organized in Djelfa (center) last week and before the expo of the eastern provinces which will be held next week in the province of Setif.

The official highlighted that these economic events will contribute to introducing entrepreneurship and encouraging young people to set-up micro-enterprises in various fields, as well as establishing links between actors at the regional level, subcontracting and concluding partnership deals.

After confirming the state’s intention to support and accompany young project holders and urge them to establish micro-enterprises, whether on a personal initiative or with public funding, Ferchichi highlighted that the delegated ministry has mobilized all its resources to implement the President’s program, which includes the creation of 1 million companies by 2024.

The same official pointed out the government’s will to organize an international expo that brings together national and foreign micro enterprises, allowing to present the national economic fabric and its capabilities in the field of production and services, and supporting them to compete in the international market.

This expo is organized at the initiative of the ministry delegated to the Prime ministry in charge of micro-enterprises over a period of three days at the sports complex Farraj in Mostaganem and the participation of economic operators from Mostaganem, Oran, Sidi Bel Abbes, Tlemcen, Ain Temouchent, Mascara, Relizane, Tiaret, Tissemsilt, Chlef, Ain Defla who are active in the fields of industrial production, agriculture, crafts, and services.

On the sidelines of this three-day event, visits will be organized for students of Abdelhamid Ben Badis University of Mostaganem, and a cooperation agreement will be concluded between the province’s branch of the National Agency for Entrepreneurship Development and Support and the Regional Fund for Agricultural Cooperation.
