National Rail Transport Company: night trains resume service on three lines

The National Rail Transport Company (SNTF) announced, on Thursday in a press release, the resumption of night sleeper trains on Algiers-Tebessa, Algiers-Annaba and Algiers-Batna lines as of Sunday.

Within the framework of this programme, Algiers-Tebessa line (sleeper and seats) has been scheduled every Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. The departure is at 18:40, while the arrival is scheduled at 06:05.

Concerning Tebessa-Algiers link, it has been scheduled every Saturday, Monday and Wednesday. The departure is planned at 17:30 and the arrival at 05:00.

As for the Annaba-Algiers train (sleeper and seats), the departure will be at 19:20 and the arrival at 05:45 every day of the week, while the Algiers-Annaba link, the departure is planned at 20:45 and the arrival at 07:05 every day of the week.

For Algiers-Batna line, the departure is scheduled at 13:45 and the arrival at 20:40 every day of the week, while Batna-Alger service, the departure is at 22:50 and the arrival at 05:30 every day of the week with seats only.

As a reminder, services on  Algiers-Touggourt and Bechar-Oran routes resumed last Sunday.

This measure, according to the SNTF, is in application of the decision of the high authorities concerning the gradual resumption of the various means of transport, following the decrease in the health situation related to the spread of Covid-19 pandemic.

This programme has been set up in coordination with the Interior and Health sectors in addition to the National Gendarmerie in order to ensure the safety of passengers. The number of passengers inside the train has been reduced by 50% with the application of a health protocol, the source concluded.
