The Minister of Culture and Arts, Wafa Chaâlal, called Thursday from Tamanrasset to open cultural structures to associations active in the field, in order to ensure their support.
Speaking during a meeting with representatives of cultural associations, at the end of her working visit to this wilaya, the Minister affirmed that the ministry accompanies and supports dynamic cultural associations, by providing them with the necessary spaces for the intensification of cultural activities.
In response to the concerns of associations, particularly with regard to the issues of obtaining an artist’s card, protection of the latter, and training opportunities, the Minister of Culture and the Arts announced a reflection to be undertaken on the revision of the procedures in force for the granting of the artist’s card.
Regarding the training and the proposal of certain speakers to open in Tamanrasset sections of training establishments in the field of Culture, the Minister has ruled out, for the moment, the opening of local representations of Training Institutes specialized in the cultural field, in order, she said, to preserve the quality of the training provided.
Representatives of associations praised these measures, which they believe will breathe new life into the cultural scene in the region.
Previously, the Minister of Culture and Arts hosted a radio program, before visiting two players of Imzad, Fatma Amrioued known as Chenna and Khoulène Alamine.
