The voter turnout in the November 27 local elections hits 36.58% for the People’s Communal Assemblies and 34.76% for People’s Provincial Assemblies, announced Tuesday the National Independent Authority for Elections (ANIE) at a press conference.
Charfi explained, in a press conference dedicated to presenting the preliminary results of November 27 elections, that the number of voters for municipal assemblies reached 7,514,422 voters at the national level, a participation rate estimated at 36.58 percent, while the number of voters for members of the People’s Provincial Assemblies reached 6,902,222 voters, a participation rate estimated at 34.76 percent.
