
The work of the Algiers international conference on “Imam Mohamed Ben Abdelkrim Al Maghili: governance, unity and stability of African societies”, organized under the high patronage of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, opened on Monday in Algiers.
The opening ceremony of this symposium, hosted by the International Conference Center (CIC) “Abdellatif Rahal”, took place in the presence of the President of the National People’s Assembly (APN), Mr. Ibrahim Boughali, the President of the Constitutional Court, Mr. Omar Belhadj, members of the government, and advisers to the President of the Republic.
Born in Tlemcen towards the end of the 14th century, Imam El Maghili studied in Bejaia then in Algiers where he was the disciple of Aberrahmane El Thaalibi who instructed him to distribute the Tarika El Kadiria in the southern countries of the Great Maghreb. After a great tour in the Sahel region, he died in 1504 in Adrar and was buried at the Zaouia Kounta, leaving a legacy of more than 24 works
