The Minister of Public Works, Hydraulics and Basic Infrastructures, Lakhdar Rekhroukh said on Thursday in Algiers that the operation to open the road linking the province of El Mania to the province of Ouargla had been registered and is currently at the stage of announcing the provisional market allocation.
Speaking at the plenary session of the Council of the Nation devoted to oral questions under the chairmanship of Mr. Salah Goudjil, Chairman of the parliamentary institution, Mr. Rekhroukh said in response to a question from Senator Mohamed Larbi Slimani (El Moustakbel Front) that the opening of the road linking the province of El Mania and the province of Ouargla is a priority, “However, the opening of the El Menia-Ouargla road is dependent on the completion of the rehabilitation of a severely damaged 30-kilometer stretch of the road”.
He confirmed, in this context, that the operation was well and truly registered and that the work would be launched once the administrative procedures had been completed, which are at the stage of provisional award of the contract.
