Registrations for participants in the 19th Mediterranean Games scheduled for next summer in Oran have started, according to the National Committee for Organizing this sporting event.
The same source clarified that the process of registering the concerned persons is carried out through the electronic platform of this committee, in three stages.
In their explanation of these stages, the organizers added that the first stage, which runs from January 17 to March 18, is related to the registration of countries in each competition according to the number of athletes, medical staff, as well as the technical staff and other members of the delegation.
As for the second stage, it was set from March 19 to April 1, when the National Olympic Committees must send the long list to the members of their delegations.
As for the third stage, it will start on April 2, which is the date when the National Olympic Committees have to start confirming their shortlists, as indicated.
It is noteworthy that the Mediterranean Games mean at least 25 countries of the Mediterranean, where more than 4,000 male and female athletes are expected to participate in this date, during which competitions will be held in 24 sports disciplines.
Algeria is preparing to host this Mediterranean sports event from June 25 to July 5, 2022, for the second time in its history, after Algiers hosted the seventh edition of the same games in 1975.
