
On his arrival this morning, Tuesday, to Algiers Mosque to supervise the launch of the military parade commemorating the sixties anniversary of independence, the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, was greeted by a great reception masses present at the place.
President of the Republic saluted thousands of citizens and stood at length in front of the crowds that flocked to “Al Sablat” Park since early hours of the morning to attend this huge military parade organized by National People’s Army on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the restoration of national sovereignty.
On the various sides of Highway No. 11 adjacent to the Mosque of Algeria, which is adorned with national flags and pictures of the martyrs of the glorious liberation revolution, thousands of citizens, mostly young people and families, lined up, waving the national flag and chanting slogans and national anthems.
The crowds coming from the various administrative districts of Algiers and some neighboring twons witnessed a tight organization whose success was ensured by security and military authorities, as well as the strong civil society activities, similar to the Algerian Islamic Scout which was mobilized since the early hours of this morning to ensure the comfort and guidance of citizens.
