Paralympics 2020-Athletics: two new golds and two world records for Algeria

Algerian throwing athlete Safia Djelal (F57) and sprinter Athmani Skander-Djamil (T13) won Paralympic gold medals, in respectively the shot put (F57) and the 400m race on Thursday, the 10th day of the Paralympic Games in Tokyo, setting, in addition, two new world records.

The Algerian athlete, who succeeded in all her six throws, three of which exceeded the 11.11 m, thus added the third gold medal to Algeria after wrestling Abdellaoui Cherine achieved in Judo category under 52 kg and the speed athlete Othmani Iskandar Jamil (T13), so Algeria has 9 medals, including 2 silver medals and 4 bronze medals
