President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received today, Thursday, at the headquarters of the Presidency of the Republic, within the framework of his consultations with representatives of civil society, representatives of six national associations, who appreciated his support to the association movement and the strengthening of its role in building a new Algeria.
In a statement to the press after the meeting, the president of the Algerian Literacy Association “Iqraa”, Hocine Khellid, said that he expressed his gratitude to the President of the Republic for awarding the Order of Merit of the rank Achir to the former president of the Association “Iqraa”, the late Aisha Barki, and granted the association the status of public benefit association.
He added that the meeting was an opportunity to express the association’s concerns, including “the necessity of evaluating the national strategy for literacy and adult education, and granting attention to literacy teachers.”
It’s worth noting that these meetings took place in the presence of Nazih Ben Ramadan, the advisor to the president of the republic in charge of the association movement and the national community abroad.
