The President of the Republic said in a joint press conference with the Egyptian President following the talks that brought them together at the Al Qubba Presidential Palace, during the second day of his working and fraternal visit to Egypt, that the talks were “rich and fruitful and fall within the context of continuous and permanent consultation on bilateral relations and the role entrusted to both Egypt and Algeria and their contribution to the process of boosting Arab and African cooperation, in order to achieve security and stability in the region.

President Tebboune added that the two parties stressed on the same occasion the need to “work together to preserve the appropriate position that Algeria and Egypt occupy at the African level and the southern shore of the Mediterranean, and the historical and geographical strategic position occupied by the Arab Republic of Egypt in building bridges of cooperation with our Arab brothers in the Asian continent.”
