The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, chaired a special meeting on Tuesday on market control and the fight against speculation, said a press release from the Presidency of the Republic.
“The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, chaired today a special meeting on market control and the fight against speculation,” reads the statement.
The meeting focused on “the current market situation, disruptions in the distribution of certain consumer products and the diagnosis of the malfunction”, added the same source, noting that “the President of the Republic subsequently gave instructions to fight and stand firmly against these behaviors”.
“The meeting saw the presence of the Prime Minister and the Ministers of Interior, Justice, Finance, Industry, Agriculture, Trade and Transport, as well as the heads of all the organs of security,” the statement concluded.
