The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, sent a congratulatory message to the Sahrawi President, Brahim Ghali, on the occasion of the 46th anniversary of the declaration of the establishment of the Sahrawi Republic, in which he affirmed Algeria’s “permanent” solidarity with the just Sahrawi cause.
The President of the Republic added that “the establishment of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic on February 27, 1976 was an important station on the path of the valiant Sahrawi people’s struggle to regain their legitimate national rights. The Sahrawi people have gained widespread respect and support at the international level for their insistence on continuing the struggle for their self-determination and the extension of their sovereignty over their land.
The President of the Republic added: “I would also like to take this occasion to assure you of Algeria’s permanent solidarity with your just cause and its firm support for the legitimate right of the Sahrawi people to self-determination and independence, reiterating to you our firm determination to work together for strengthening the relations of brotherhood and cooperation between our two brotherly countries to achieve the aspirations of our peoples for peace, security, progress and prosperity.
The President of the Republic concluded by saying: “As I renew to you our warm and sincere congratulations, I ask that you, Mr. President and dear brother, accept the highest expressions of affection and appreciation.”
