President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, affirmed that the legislative elections scheduled to take place on June 12 is a “vital bet” that people will take with their free will and leadership to build “strong and credible” institutions.
The President of the Republic said in a message to the Algerian workers on the occasion of the International Labor Day that falls on May 1 each year, read on his behalf by the Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Security, Hachemi Djaaboub, in Algiers, in the presence of a number of government members, representatives of some unions and employers, that we are close to launch the election campaign for the legislative elections of the coming June 12, stressing that “this date is a vital bet that Algerian people will fight for with their free will and in order to build strong and credible institutions.”
The President of the Republic stressed that “this important national rendezvous was surrounded by all the conditions of integrity and transparency, and the necessary resources were harnessed for it to enable the voters to fulfill their duty with peace and confidence in the future.”
Incidentally, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune called upon the candidates on political parties and free lists to run in the electoral campaign in light of what is dictated by “the conditions of fair competition and the ethics of political activity.”
The President of the Republic called on the Algerian people once again to choose their male and female representatives in the National People’s Assembly from “those who are worthy of carrying the trust, those who are competent and knowledgeable in the reliable public affairs in their history, “making this event a date to raise the voice of democracy and citizenship for change by the will of the honorable Algerian people.”
