President of the Republic insists on the establishment of a national higher school to train professors for people with speaking and listening deficiency

President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, stressed, today Sunday, the need to establish a national higher school to train professors specializing in the education for people with speaking and listening deficiency , and to put them into service with “the next school year” while working to “develop it later to become an institution with an African and Arab dimension.”

In a press release issued by the Presidency of the Republic following the periodic meeting of the Council of Ministers, it was stated that, following the intervention of the President of the Republic after the Minister of National Education made a presentation on the establishment of a national school to train professors specialized in the education of people with speaking and listening deficiency, the President of the Republic stressed the need of “the establishment of a national higher school to train professors specialized in teaching people with speaking and listening deficiency,” And put it into service within the next  back to school year, and work to develop it later to become an African and Arab institution in this field.

The President of the Republic also insisted – the same source added – on “the necessity to take care of all citizens of all groups, including those with specific needs, to an adapted education across all provinces of the country”, mandating the Ministry of Health and Population and Hospital reform for the “establishment of a national hospital institution to support hearing-impaired people, with a focus on developing cochlear implants,” by “partnering with Algerian emerging institutions that are active in this field.” The government was also charged – according to the same communiqué – to find appropriate mechanisms to take care of children with autism.

Regarding the presentation related to the creation of the baccalaureate of arts (audiovisual, theater, cinema …), the President of the Republic highlighted “the expected role of culture and arts in embodying the desired change project and contributing to the diversification of the national economy,” stressing in this context the need to “strengthen art education in the educational milieu to make it a seedbed to nurture and develop talents nationally in various disciplines to direct from the rules towards a true artistic industry.

The President of the Republic also stressed the need to “direct students with real talents, starting from the first year of secondary school, to technical specialization, with the aim of their early training and paving the way for Algerian youth to develop their talents and hobbies in various disciplines”.

The President of the Republic also highlighted “the importance of full integration and coordination between the sectors of education, higher education and scientific research, and vocational training, in the field of technical training.”

In the same context, the President of the Republic stressed the need to “provide all conditions for the success of the project to introduce the baccalaureate of arts” which aims to “ensure the training of a new generation of art professionals in the various disciplines offered by this promising field by exploiting the great historical balance of Algeria in its international, African and Maghreb dimensions, and its promotion in technical disciplines.”
