President of the Republic instructs to exempt young people from judicial prosecution due to defaulting on loans

President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, while presiding over a cabinet meeting, issued instructions today, Sunday, to exempt distressed youth benefiting from employment support loans from judicial prosecution, according to a cabinet press release.

The press release stated that the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, gave instructions to “give an opportunity to the distressed youth who benefit from loans to support youth employment, and to exempt them from judicial prosecution, while approving a purely economic approach, according to a debt repayment schedule.”

The President of the Republic also instructed to “unify the management of the National Agency for Entrepreneurship Support and Development (ANADE), the National Agency for the Management of Microcredit (ANJEM), and the National Fund for Unemployment Insurance (CNAC), by placing them under the tutelage of the Ministry delegated to the Prime Minister in charge of microenterprises, within a month at the latest,” according to the same communiqué.

The source added that “the minister delegate in charge of micro-enterprises will be tasked with providing a six-year periodic census of the number of jobs created.”
