
President of the Republic, Supreme Chief of the Armed Forces, Minister of National Defense, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, affirmed that the military parade to which he gave the kickoff on Tuesday in Algiers conferred an “exceptional cachet” to the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the recovery of national sovereignty.
In a speech delivered on this occasion, President Tebboune specified that this solemn moment conferred an “exceptional cachet” to the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the recovery of national sovereignty, at a time when “the country, with its institutions and constitutional bodies, has reached a stage where the contours of an Algeria confident in its future are being drawn”.
“On this occasion, I underscore once again that all of us, whatever our level of responsibility, are called upon in this situation strewn with challenges, to contribute to the consolidation of the foundations of the State of institutions and of law, a State in which the spirit of citizenship and the values of solidarity will be enshrined and in which the sense of national duty is rooted” he added.
President Tebboune called for these historic occasions to be set up as “milestones that testify the loyalty to the chouhada and to the glorious legacy of November and that we can make them landmarks that guide our homeland and our worthy people in service”.
The President of the Republic reaffirmed the nation’s consideration for the People’s National Army (ANP), Algeria’s shield and worthy heir to the National Liberation Army (ALN), “whose immense achievements and realizations have been proven”.
The ANP “is in cohesion with the people, gaining in dignity and elevation, by the place it occupies in the heart of the Nation and by the patriotism and commitment of the officers, soldiers and all personnel and affiliates of the Army,” he continued.
The President of the Republic also hailed “the valiant soldiers stationed at the borders and the eagles who protect our airspace, as well as the guardians of our maritime space”, congratulating the Algerians for this celebration which constitutes “the flame of Glory in the sky of Algeria and torch of pride on its pure land”.
The Head of State did not miss the opportunity to express his heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all the guests of Algeria, who “made sure to share with us the joys of this blessed feast, the feast of celebration of the 60th anniversary of the independence of Algeria and the recovery of its sovereignty”.
