The President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, ordered, during the cabinet meeting he chaired, today, Sunday, to review the prices of air and sea transport tickets before the summer season, for the benefit of the national community abroad, according to a statement issued by the Council of Ministers.
The press release stated that the President of the Republic, regarding the promotion of international flights in anticipation of the summer season, ordered the Minister of Transport to “initiate a review of the prices of air and sea transport tickets before the summer season, for the benefit of the national community, in a way that stimulates and activates the trend towards national transport companies.”
The President of the Republic also instructed “the immediate and exceptional solution to all problems related to the transportation of pilgrims, so that these problems do not recur with pilgrims.”
The President also ordered a review of the structural system of Air Algerie, and the way it operates, in line with international standards.
In the same context, he stressed the need to attach “extreme” importance to the professional and social situation of Algerian pilots and technicians working in the field of aviation, according to the same statement.
