President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, ordered on Sunday, after the regular meeting of the Council of Ministers, to start dialogue with various social partners in the health sector in order to review the social and professional situation of workers, and the need to define a clear calendar for the implementation of the hospital reform project, according to a statement by the Presidency of the Republic.
The presidential statement added that after listening to the presentation made by the Secretary of State in charge of hospital reform on the conceptual framework and the operational path of implementing the hospital reform project, the President of the Republic ordered the necessity of reviewing the organization of hospital’s emergency department as well as the other departments, in a way that fixes the citizen’s relationship with the hospital, and preparing a concept that takes into account the effectiveness in civil service with the aim of encouraging national competencies and protecting public health.
The President also took this opportunity – the statement adds – to express his satisfaction on the performance of the health system in facing Covid-19 pandemic, offering, on the occasion, a greeting of gratitude to all the employees of this sector.
